The UK Maths Trust’s Enrichment Executive Committee (EEC) provides strategic oversight for the organisation and running of the charity’s outreach and enrichment activities.

Enrichment activities include the National Maths Summer Schools (NMSS), the Mentoring Scheme, and the development of Primary Mathematics Resources.

The principles and personal attributes that individuals bring to the EEC are as important as their skills and knowledge. These qualities enable committee members to use their combined skills and knowledge to function well together.

Currently, we are particularly interested in applications from people who are teachers in state schools although applications are welcome from anyone with an interest in this aspect of the Trust’s work.

Location, time commitment and expectations:

  • EEC members each serve a three-year term with the potential to extend membership for two additional terms;
  • EEC meetings are currently held online four times a year, with the expectation that all members will attend unless there are extenuating circumstances which prevent this;
  • Meetings are arranged to fit around members’ schedules as far as possible;
  • In addition to attending meetings, members are expected to participate in email discussions on appropriate topics;
  • The time commitment will vary, but is not likely to exceed more than a few hours in a single month

Governance:

  • Members of the EEC are appointed by, and are governed by the UK Maths Trust’s Board of Trustees.
  • The Trust will provide appropriate induction.
