Mathematical Competition for Girls Awards
Scoring
Scoring rules for the Mathematical Competition for Girls as follows:
- A total of 50 marks can be achieved in the MCG
- Each question carries 10 marks distributed across several parts
- Specific incorrect answers may be awarded partial marks
- There are no negative marks for incorrect answers
Awards and Thresholds
The top 25% of students will receive a Certificate of Distinction and the next 40% a Certificate of Merit. Students who score below the Merit threshold will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Distinction: 18+
Merit: 9+
