Mathematical Olympiad for Girls Awards
Scoring
Scoring rules for the Mathematical Olympiad for Girls as follows:
- A total of 50 marks can be achieved in MOG
- Each question carries 10 marks
- Partial marks may be awarded for incomplete or partially correct answers
- One fully correct answer will gain you more credit than several guesses
- There are no negative marks for incorrect answers
Awards and Thresholds
The top 25% of students will receive a Certificate of Distinction and the next 40% a Certificate of Merit. Students who score below the Merit threshold will receive a Certificate of Participation.
New for 2026! The top 70 scorers (approx.) will also be awarded a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal (in the ratio 1:2:3) and a book prize; the title varies from year to year.
