Geoff has been involved with UKMT since 1999. He retired from the University of Bath in 2020 and is now an honorary Reader in Mathematics. He teaches part-time at Wells Cathedral School. He has been chair of BMO activities on and off for about 15 year since 2006. He was the elected President of IMO during 2014-2022, and managed the pandemic response. His research interests were mainly in algebra and geometry, but now he is interested in all aspects of competition mathematics. He was involved in the foundation of the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad and UKMT book publications.
