Mr Steve Mulligan

Steve completed a degree in mathematics at the University of Leeds, which was followed by several years research into the use of partial differential equations in the field of computer aided design. He then embarked on a PGCE and has taught mathematics in several secondary schools in Bradford. Following promotion to Head of Department, he has held several senior leadership positions in schools and is now on his second headship. Steve has been involved with the UKMT since 1998 and started as a problem setter for the Senior Maths Challenge. Following the International Mathematics Olympiad held in Glasgow in 2002, Steve was involved in setting up the Team Maths Challenge and subsequently spent many years developing and overseeing the growth of the challenges.
