Team Maths Challenge: National Final

The TMC National Final

The TMC National Final returned to London in 2025, marking its first appearance since 2019.

Having qualified through one of the 47 Team Maths Challenge Regional Finals held across the UK, 72 teams travelled to London to compete in the National Final. Teams travelled from as far north as the Scottish Highlands, as well as from the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland.

We also welcomed seven ASEEDER guest teams who visited from China. The pupils competed in the shuttle round, crossnumber, group circus, relay, and a poster round (for which a separate trophy was available for schools to win).

A huge thank you to guest speaker Simon Singh who presented our top teams with their prizes and gave a talk for the participants.

What proved to be a fantastic event could not have happened without our wonderful TMC volunteers, who were there on the day to welcome teams, check the marking and collect materials. Thank you all.
