UK Maths Trust Volunteer Awarded an OBE

We are delighted to share that Paul Fannon has been awarded an OBE for Services to Education in the King's Birthday Honours.
Paul has been a UK Maths Trust volunteer since 2006 and has contributed to summer schools, overseas camps, British Mathematical Olympiad and Mathematical Olympiad for Girls marking.

Paul’s voluntary work for the Trust has been mentioned in the honours citation, alongside his major contributions to widening access to Maths education through his work for Cambridge University and various examination boards.

In Paul’s words: “It is an immense privilege to be working with the brightest young minds and to guide them to fulfil their potential. I am extremely honoured and grateful for this award, which recognises the importance of nurturing our young talent.”

We are sure you will join us in congratulating Paul on this outstanding achievement.
