The IMO Celebration Lecture and Reception 2025 was a huge success, bringing together students, families, volunteers, schools, and supporters to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the past year.

Congratulations to all the students who were re-presented with their medals and prizes for their exceptional performances in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and other international competitions. It was inspiring to hear from the team as they shared their experiences of the IMO and the UKMT training programme.

We were also delighted to welcome Professor Oliver Johnson, who gave a fascinating lecture, Group Testing: Finding Needles in Haystacks, engaging both students and guests with ideas that stretched from the practical to the profound.

A huge thank you goes to our sponsors, Jane Street, and to everyone whose hard work made the event possible.

Each year, the IMO Celebration is a highlight of the UKMT calendar. It provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the commitment and dedication of our young mathematicians, to thank the volunteers and trainers who support them, and to showcase the power and joy of mathematics.
